After teaching letter l blend now it is time to teach letter r blend. Like bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, we also teach letter r blend br, cr, fr, gr, pr. 

 Consonant blend with letter ‘r’ is little difficult for pre primary kids to understand.  Start explaining how b and r blend together as in broom.

Read out the br words as

br + eak — black

br + oom — block

This will help them understand how to blend b r.
