Blending is taught using CVC words initially. CVC stands for Consonant Vowel Consonant 3 letter word. With the help of 3 letter words kids learn blending of two letter and three letter sounds

Like   a+d — ad   —  (m+ad — mad)

          a+t — at — (c+at — cat)

After CVC words there are other important blending, digraphs, vowel pairs too.  All these together with sight  words will help kids to read English effortlessly.
